Juan is the founding member from Dessau S&Z S.A., who has more than 40 years of experience in the electric and infrastructure sectors.

Juan Solidoro

Juan is the founding member from Dessau S&Z S.A., who has more than 40 years of experience in the electric and infrastructure sectors. He is director of several private companies that has various investments in different areas.

In the energetic field, and from the private sector he has been involved into consultancy in design and development of: > 450 MW in Thermal Power Plants, > 6,000 MW in Hydroelectric Power Plants and > 4,500 kms in Transmission Lines and Management from the conception, development and promotion of several hydroelectric projects in Peru including: Complejo El Carmen 35MW, Tarucani 49MW, Quitaracsa 112MW, Belo Horizonte 180MW, Veracruz 723MW, Inambari 2200MW, among others.

In the public sector, he has been the chief in several divisions of the General Direction of Electricity, and advisor of the Ministerial Office of Peru in different periods. During period (1992 – 1995) in quality of main advisor participated in the Reform of Electricity Sector in Peru; Design, financing and startup of EMTAL with the IBRD, Personnel’s Chief who elaborated the Electrical Concessions Law, negotiations with BID for a loan of US$ 75 M for Transmission Projects in Peru; negotiations with Eximbank of Japan for the financing of San Gabán II Hydroelectric Power Plant by US$ 155.0 M; negotiations with the BIRF for a structural loan of USD 200 M for the Reform of the Energy and Mines Sector, etc.

Susana has over 17 years of experience coordinating, editing and executing important projects in diverse fields of infrastructure; leading coordination within programs of Environmental Impact Studies, Social Programs and research for government institutions and private companies.

Furthermore Ms. Gushiken has extensive experience in the field of teaching, research and production of manuals and texts of environmental assessment of science and environment – with various publications. Susana is a graduate in Biology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, has a masters degree in management of natural areas and environmental education at the University of Las Palmas – Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana and a specialization in Environmental Consulting at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas del Peru.

Miguel is founding partner of Dessau S&Z who has more than 40 years in the electrical sector.

Miguel Suazo

Miguel is founding partner of Dessau S&Z who has more than 40 years in the electrical sector. He has participated in the conception and the development of several hydroelectric projects including: Tarucani, Quitaracsa, Veracruz and Inambari. Technical participation in >450MW in Thermal Power Plants, >7,500MW in Hydroelectric Power Plants and > 4,500 km in Transmission Lines.

Currently, he is President of the Peruvian Commission on Large Dams and Member of the Executive Committee of the International Commission on Large Dams. He has been Chief of the Projects Division of the Electric Energy Corporation of Mantaro, Director of the National Council of the Engineer’s Association of Peru and CONASUCO. He has participated in the Committee of Electric Energy Rationing, Peruvian Association of Consulting and Compañía de Servicios Eléctricos S.A.. Member of the Committee for the elaboration of Referential Energy Plan to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (1994) and Representative of this Ministry before the Multisectorial Commission of the Olmos Project.

Luc has more than 35 years of experiencse in hydroelectric energy, and with high worldwide prestige. In his professional line he has been dedicated mainly to the development of Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Engineering, Bases, Detailed Design and construction supervision. Likewise, he has dedicated himself to the development of projects, including Strategic Planning, Contract negotiation and financing, for high-voltage hydroelectric power transmission projects and for the acquisition of hydroelectric and transmission power assets in Latin America. His management experience includes Peru, Chile and Brazil. He has participated in senior executive positions in various companies such as Hatch (Director of Renewable Energy), AECOM (Vice President of Latin America), RSW inc. (Manager of Hydroelectric Projects), Hydro Quebec International (Manager of Latin America), and SNC Lavalin, among others.

Juan Antonio Solidoro

General Management

Juan Antonio has more than 15 years of experience in varied executive positions in different private companies; in energy sectors, Private Equity, health and real estate. Since 2000, he has been involved as Director of Dessau S&Z, and related companies.

In the electric sector, he has participated directly in the financing and development of several great hydroelectric projects since its conception in Peru for more than 3,000MW. As well, he has experience in M&A with several multinational companies which have carried out direct business and representing an investment portfolio of +USD 8,000 million. Juan Antonio has an MBA of the London Business School and a Professional Degree in Business Management of the Universidad del Pacífico.

Mario Tomás Talavera
Dpt. Civil Engineering

Mario has more than 40 years of experience and a prominent professional career in Dessau S&Z since 1997; having participated in the development of several power generation projects since its conception in Peru for more than 5,000MW. Mario has occupied positions of maximum level in the Electroperú Company in fields of his specialty and he has performed as a member of the Board of Directors in several companies of the electric sector.

Mario also has a Civil Engineering Degree by the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería and an improvement course in Structural field in London, England.

Luis Miguel Ortega
Dpt. of Irrigation Infrastructure

Luis has more than 35 years of experience in the formulation, execution and supervision of projects and programs mainly related in the use, management and sustainability of water resources. His wide experience involves the conduction and formulation of pre-investment projects, profile studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies; as well as definitive studies and works supervision in irrigation infrastructure. He works in Dessau S&Z SA since 2009; and previously he has provided consulting services for important projects in the Ministry of Agriculture and INADE.

Luis has a Master’s Degree in Hydraulic Engineering of the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico and he has a Degree in Agricultural Engineering by the Universidad Agraria La Molina.

Luis Efraín Landeo
Dpt. Electromechanical Engineering – Studies

Luis has developed and leaded related projects in Transmission Lines and high voltage electric substations, since their profile stage until the final study with more than 30 years of experience. He has worked in Dessau S&Z SA since 1983, managing important projects and works supervisions in the electric sector in all Peruvian regions.

Among his successful achievements of his specialty in relation with high technical quality tasks, we can mention: design, electromechanical work supervision and advisory as part of his outstanding performance. Luis is a professional in Electric Engineering by the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería.

Ricardo Frentzel Hacker

Commercial Management and Institutional Relations

Ricardo has a professional experience of more than 14 years in various management positions within diverse companies in the infrastructure sector, working in Brazil, Colombia and Central America. He has led the development of new energy, transportation, water and mining projects for + USD 2 billion total investment amount, and is linked to Dessau S&Z Group since 2019. Previously, he has worked in the development of infrastructure projects in companies in Latin America and Europe. Ricardo has an MBA from HHL Leipzig and EADA Barcelona and has a degree in Business Administration from the Escola Superior de Administracao de Negócios del Centro Universitário da FEI in São Paulo, Brazil.

Jose Yzaguirre Carpio
Finance & Administration

Jose has a professional experience of over 15 years, having led investments in the development energy projects since conception in Peru – valued at more than USD 800 million as total amount of investment.

Since 2007 he has covered diverse management positions in companies related to Dessau S&Z Group. He previously worked in: AC Capitales – Infrastructure Fund, Cálidda- Natural gas distribution company in Metropolitan Lima, and PwC. José holds a Master in Energy Management in ESAN / ICADE and graduated with a degree in Economics at Pacifico University.

Virgilio Davila
Special Projects

Virgilio has a solid academic background and extensive professional experience of +40 years, in the planning, design, supervision and management of hydraulic projects (hydroelectric plants, irrigation, water supply for domestic and industrial consumption and river hydraulic projects).

Mr. Davila graduated in Civil Engineering from the National University of Engineering and has a Master’s Degree in Sciences with mention in Investment Projects (National University of Engineering) and a Diploma in Hydraulic Engineering (International Institute For Hydraulic And Environmental Engineering (IHE ) DELF – Holland).

Mauricio Butron
Dpto. Electromecánico – Supervisión

Mauricio is a Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria. He has + 30 years of experience, coordinating and leading electric power developments in the transmission and distribution areas.

Mauricio leads the integral management of budgets and unit price analysis for the execution of electromechanical works of transmission lines, substations and small electrical systems, for the final definitive studies.

To date, the projects that it has directly managed are more than 50 high-voltage projects, more than 10 medium-voltage projects and more than 15 low-voltage projects.
